Your
Life

Once upon a time, you were nothing!  In fact, there was no “you,” because you did not exist.

But then, through the wonderful act of conception, God brought you into existence.  At that very moment three miraculous acts occurred simultaneously.  1) By the grace of God, you became a distinct human being, and a male or female.  2) By the power of God, the breath of life was imparted, and you became a living human being. 3)  By the will of God, you were given a soul (the real you made up of emotion, will, intellect), made in the image and likeness of God, that you might exercise dominion over the earth and live in obedience and reverence toward your Maker.

From infancy, childhood and through the teenage years, God ordained that adults would stand in His place and be your teachers and trainers.  Some were good, like God.  Some were not so good.  And some may have been evil, but all molded and made you into the person that you are unto this very day.

Soon you stepped into adulthood, and out from under the influences of your family, teachers and trainers.  Adulthood is a time of testing and temptation.  It is a time when decisions are made that will chart your course during this life and into the next.  You were on your own, but you were not alone, for God was there, wooing and waiting for His creation (you) to become His child.

Finally, life’s journey ends in death.  Though many live long lives, all die.  Some die in infancy.  Some die in childhood.  Some die in adulthood, but all men/women die.  Yet the meaning of life is not found in your death, but in God’s purpose for your life and your obedience to that purpose.

From the moment of conception you have been important to God.  From the moment of conception, God has had a plan and a purpose for your life that only you can fulfill.  And the focal point of that plan and purpose can be found in the Bible, centered around God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecc. 12:13

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, ...but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  2 Peter 3:9

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel ...by which also ye are saved...how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures”  1 Cor. 15:1-4

“For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:13

Believe—Repent—Pray,

“God be merciful to me a sinner who believes in my heart that Jesus Christ paid the full payment of my sin; that He fully satisfied the wrath of God on my behalf through His shed blood; and that God raised Him from the dead, fully satisfied with His sacrifice. I now repent of my sins and trust Jesus Christ’s death alone for my salvation. In Jesus name I pray, amen.”
